Okinawa hosted the Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival, and thousands of Okinawans came back to their homeland from overseas to attend the event. For more about it, please check its website.

To pump up the event, Taiwan’s samba groups also came to Naha and teamed up with the local samba group. The Okinawan and Taiwanese samba team performed through the streets of Naha’s public market and captivated local shoppers and merchants as well as tourists.
