Cherry Blossoms in Okinawa

February is the cherry blossom season in Okinawa. The Nakijin Castle Ruins is one of the popular destinations to see the flowers in northern Okinawa Island.

Here are the pictures from my first trip to the Nakijin Castle during the cherry blossoms festival. The flowers would have been fully blooming during the festival normally, but maybe because this winter was unusually warm, only half of the flowers had been blooming.

Regardless, it was still a great view and worth visiting.

Also, this is one of the places you can watch night cherry blossoms, but I would recommend to go there before it gets dark. Then you can avoid long lines of parking and buying tickets.
